Coming Soon!

My latest independent YA suspense thriller is in the works! I've been getting the cover proofs from the publishing house's graphic design team, and will be doing a cover reveal soon!

So, what's my story with this publishing house? Last March, I attended the Blue Lake Christian Writer's Conference in Alabama, and met with an editor from Elk Lake Publishing Inc. I didn't have a book ready to pitch, but I wanted the experience, so I pitched my YA novel, Prisoner 1-8-6 to her, just to see how it would go.
She asked me to send in a book proposal, so after procrastinating for a few months, I finally sent in a book proposal, and when it was accepted, I had to scramble to finish the book!

Now, I'm excited to announce that I'm an author with Elk Lake Publishing! https://elklakepublishinginc.com/priscilla-krahn/

Spring Happenings . . .

Okay, so it's snowing today, which makes spring not seem quite so close, but it is April, so we know it's coming, and there are signs!

First, we know it's Spring, because town is starting to host their Spring-Events, like the Puzzle Competition that my sister, Mom, and Grandma did together. We didn't win, but it was super fun!

Second, we know it's spring, because on a walk the other day, I noticed most of the snow is gone, and the swans are back in the field!

Third, if you look close, you'll see that my dirt pot is starting to grow tiny green shoots that will hopefully become flowers at some point . . . if I don't kill them first.

And last, we know that it's spring, because it's almost ACE convention! This time of year, in addition to my usual coffee shop work, writing, travel agent business, and overall life, I put a lot of time into working with the local ACE group, and I'm super excited to see how they do at convention this year. I'm glad we still have a few weeks to practice, but those last few weeks go so fast!

But, while Spring is happening, and new life is appearing around the place, I'm reminded that some things won't be new until Springtime in Heaven. I've started using cheaters for playing piano, as the music is in that perfect range between my close and far vision that just gets blurry. Someday, when it's Springtime in Heaven, I won't need those cheaters!
