Okay, so it's snowing today, which makes spring not seem quite so close, but it is April, so we know it's coming, and there are signs!
First, we know it's Spring, because town is starting to host their Spring-Events, like the Puzzle Competition that my sister, Mom, and Grandma did together. We didn't win, but it was super fun!
Second, we know it's spring, because on a walk the other day, I noticed most of the snow is gone, and the swans are back in the field!
Third, if you look close, you'll see that my dirt pot is starting to grow tiny green shoots that will hopefully become flowers at some point . . . if I don't kill them first.
And last, we know that it's spring, because it's almost ACE convention! This time of year, in addition to my usual coffee shop work, writing, travel agent business, and overall life, I put a lot of time into working with the local ACE group, and I'm super excited to see how they do at convention this year. I'm glad we still have a few weeks to practice, but those last few weeks go so fast!
But, while Spring is happening, and new life is appearing around the place, I'm reminded that some things won't be new until Springtime in Heaven. I've started using cheaters for playing piano, as the music is in that perfect range between my close and far vision that just gets blurry. Someday, when it's Springtime in Heaven, I won't need those cheaters!
